Howard Frydman

Owner, President & Senior Numismatist Howard Frydman operates the business with major buyers and sellers. Howard has been in the industry for more than 35 years, and he also trades bullion daily. Coin collecting was a popular hobby for children of his era since finding valuable coins in circulation was commonplace. The hobby took second place in sports and teenage activities and was sidetracked for several years. In 1986, he walked into a bank and saw a “Statue of Liberty” coin set offered for sale by the U.S. mint. This rekindled his passion for the coin-collecting hobby and led to his opening a mail-order coin company, advertising in the Coin World newspaper.

Howard travels to major coin shows across the country, which gives him a vast opportunity to view many quality coins and ascertain them for his clients and his inventory. He’s been traveling to coin shows for more than 30 years. Indicative of a sight-seen buyer, he selects coins with above-average eye appeal, strike, and luster, and are superior for the grade.

An interesting fact about Howard… He is a Fifth-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and still practices today. In the past, he has traveled extensively worldwide to compete for the U.S. AAU National Karate Team. Nora Frydman

Co-founder and Business Operations Associate, Nora Frydman oversees the online operations. She deals with collectors and studies what they look for in a single coin. Every coin has a history and story! Additionally, Nora attends coin shows throughout the U.S.

A world traveler who enjoys experiencing new cultures, Nora researches the history of coins and experiments with them artistically. She photographed a one-ounce Proof American Gold Eagle on a “Mother of Pearl’ shell and turned the image into the H & N Collectibles logo, and photographed most of the coin images featured here. In addition to collecting rare coins, Nora collects seashells.

Nora received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing from Berkeley College, holds an Accredited Jewelry Professional diploma (AJP) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and received a Master of Science (MSM) in Management from the University of Rochester, Simon Business School.
